Lil Boosie Faces 2 Felony Charges for Drug Possession
Lil Boosie is facing two felony charges in Georgia after he was arrested for a little bit of marijuana.
The felony charges were later filed by the district attorney in Coweta County for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, and possession of a controlled substance.
Georgia’s laws tend to be strict on drug offenders, which is another reason why social justice advocates are pushing for reforms because they believe those who are arrested for possessing marijuana should not see the inside of a jail cell. if Bossie gets convicted, he faces the risk of one year in jail.
Boosie was pulled back in April for swerving lanes. During the traffic stop, cops found marijuana, a handgun and more than $20,000 in cash.
Prosecutors eventually decided not to charge Boosie for the gun possession but did hold him up for the drugs.
He had passenger in the car as well, so he faces same charges. That man is also looking at the same possible prison sentence as Boosie. Prosecutors also added a traffic violation for Boosie for failure to maintain his lane.
